The villa

Villa Çam stands on the slope above Gündoğan bay, among the pines — çam in Turkish — that give the house its name and its shade. From the pool terrace the view runs straight out over the water.

Inside, the living and dining room is one long space behind floor-to-ceiling glass, so the sea is part of every meal. The kitchen is simple and well equipped, in light wood and stone.

All three bedrooms face the water and each has its own bathroom; in the main bathroom, the bath sits beneath a window over the bay.

A quieter, more intimate house than Villa Beyaz, it suits couples, small families and anyone who wants to spend the week looking at the sea.

The setting

Gündoğan is a small bay on the north coast of the peninsula, with a calm waterfront, fish restaurants and wooden jetties for swimming. Neighbouring Türkbükü is close by for beach clubs and an evening out.
